Norwegian Jade arrives at Port of Acapulco

February 16, 2026 — The Administration of the Acapulco National Port System (ASIPONA Acapulco) informs the arrival of the cruise ship Norwegian Jade at the Port of Acapulco, from Cabo San Lucas. The ship arrived at 08:00 hours as part of its international itinerary in the Pacific, consolidating a new stopover in this tourist destination. On board traveled 2,287 passengers and 1,008 crew members, who disembarked in an orderly manner to enjoy the main tourist attractions of the city. During their stay, visitors toured emblematic areas of the port, in addition to consuming gastronomic, commercial and recreational services.

For this operation, ASIPONA Acapulco implemented a coordination scheme with port authorities, tourism sector agencies and agencies of the three levels of government. Likewise, there was the support of security corporations and maritime authorities, who participated in the operational device to guarantee a safe and orderly stay. Passengers and crew were provided with security, guidance and institutional accompaniment, complying with the protocols established for the attention of international cruise ships.

The presence of Norwegian Jade represented a favorable economic spillover for the destination, benefiting tourism service providers, local businesses, carriers and tour operators. Subsequently, the vessel set sail at 6:00 p.m. bound for Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala, continuing with its scheduled journey.

With this arrival, the Port of Acapulco reaffirmed its position as a strategic stopover on international cruise routes and strengthened its tourism and economic activity.
