Acapulco opens Port Garden and Flags New Public Transport “Marinabùs”

August 25, 2025 — On Saturday, August 23, the opening of the first stage of the Port Garden took place, a space designed for family coexistence, tourism and environmental care in the port area of Acapulco. During the inauguration, the importance of this project for the recovery and beautification of green areas was highlighted, as well as for the promotion of a pleasant environment for visitors and inhabitants of the city.

In the same framework, the flagging of the new Marinabús public transport was carried out, whose route connects the Zócalo with Puerto Marqués, strengthening mobility within the city. The event was attended by the President of the Republic, Dr. Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, and the Admiral Secretary of the Navy, Raymundo Pedro Morales Ángeles. Both authorities emphasized the value of urban rehabilitation and the improvement of tourism and transport infrastructure.

On Sunday, August 24, the Jardín del Puerto opened its doors to the general public. That day, more than 1,700 people visited the space, enjoying its green areas, pedestrian paths and proximity to the sea. The project seeks to consolidate itself as a meeting point for the community, promoting family coexistence, environmental culture and the enjoyment of nature.

With these actions, ASIPONA Acapulco reaffirms its commitment to the recovery of public spaces, sustainable mobility and the construction of a port closer to the people.
