Fiji Ports Corporation Limited (FPCL) is the Port Management Company in Fiji and also plays a regulatory role in maintaining standards relating to Ports of Entry and other local ports throughout Fiji. As such, growing trade through Fiji’s Ports in a sustainable manner that will optimise returns remains vital to FPCL.

FPCL provides primary regulatory oversight for: Port of Suva, Lautoka, Levuka, Vuda, Malau, Rotuma and Wairiki.

At a glance:

  • Port of Suva — Fiji’s largest, busiest and biggest container and general Port providing the maritime gateway to the country’s capital city of Suva as well as easy access to major shipping lanes criss crossing from the US. or Asia to Australia and New Zealand.   • Port of Lautoka — Fiji’s largest Port for handling bulk cargo, specializing in bulk sugar, molasses, woodchips, petroleum, and gas. Lautoka services the shipping needs of Western Viti Levu and is the base for Fiji’s famed Blue Lagoon Cruises and Nai’s Cruises. Download the Fiji Ports Fact Sheet for the Port of Lautoka.
     
  • Port of Malau — situated on the North Western side of Fiji’s second largest island, Vanua Levu and primarily a molasses Port facility with deep water anchorage and berthing.
  • Port of Wairiki — located on the South Eastern side of Fiji’s second largest island of Vanua Levu, the Port was recently built and is primarily a woodchip Port for use by Tropic Woods and cater for the logging industry for the island of Vanua Levu. It is being declared a Port Of Entry for Fiji and will cater for direct loading and offloading of cargo to and from Wairiki for Fiji’s second largest island.
  • Port of Levuka — primarily a fishing port catering for fishing vessels that berth at Levuka to supply Levuka’s Cannery managed by PAFCO.
  • Port of Rotuma — Rotuma is a volcanic island of approximately 43 sq. kilometers, located at 12 degrees south latitude and 177 degrees east longitude, approximately 465 kilometers north of Fiji. It was declared an official Port of Entry in 2012 to facilitate trade between Rotuma Rotuma with parts of Fiji but also with other island countries such as Tuvalu and Kiribati.
