May 17, 2024 — Keelung Port Corporation collaborated with the Taiwan Ports and Ports Association to hold an elite lecture with the theme of “Talk about Talent Sustainability from DEI”. This lecture specially invited the co-founder and CEO of Alpha plus – CEO Qiu Liangshi served as the keynote speaker, attracting many participants to discuss the importance of diversity, equality and sustainable talent development in the workplace.
CEO Qiu Liangshi has nearly 20 years of experience in asset management. He once worked at JP Morgan Asset Management as managing director and head of the product and marketing division, and served as Taiwan spokesperson. In recent years, he has not only branched out into the fields of social movements, tourism innovation and educational consulting, but also has a high degree of enthusiasm and rich experience in talent cultivation, workplace equality and gender equality movements.
During the lecture, CEO Qiu Liangshi shared his views on talent cultivation and sustainable development in the workplace in Taiwan. He emphasized that companies should realize the importance of practicing a people-oriented culture, which can not only improve employee job satisfaction, but also attract and retain outstanding talents and promote sustainable development of the company.
CEO Qiu Liangshi also mentioned that companies have long had unconscious biases and conscious screening, which cannot be ignored in the sustainable development of talents. He pointed out that the composition of employees from different ethnic groups and backgrounds, a safe environment with empathy, and support and resources that respect differences have become important indicators for modern enterprises to practice social responsibilities and attract more people with lofty ideals to jointly achieve sustainable development.
During the lecture, CEO Qiu Liangshi shared major cases and personal experiences, calling on companies to actively practice the values of diversity, equality and inclusion to promote diversified development in the workplace. He said that only by working together on the business side and the talent side can true workplace equality and sustainable development be achieved.
