August 22, 2025 — Continuing with the commitment of the Lázaro Cárdenas National Port System Administration (ASIPONA) to the “National Campaign for the Cleanup and Conservation of Mexico’s Beaches and Coasts 2025–2030,” the administration actively participated in the third cleanup event.
The cleanup event took place on Friday, August 22nd, at ERENDIRA Beach. More than 90 people participated actively, including the companies that have been assigned to LC Logistics GPS, Grupo FERTINAL, Terminales Portuarias del Pacifico (TPP), Hutchison Ports LCT, CARBONSER, APM Terminals, authorities, and civil associations such as “Vive la Playa A.C.” Institutions such as MANPRO (Manpro), security personnel from the port, and personnel from the port’s emergency response team also participated.
The coordinated effort among all the entities participating in this campaign resulted in the collection of more than 330 kg of garbage, which was subsequently disposed of at the collection centers designated by the authorities.
Several authorities were present, demonstrating their commitment to this campaign. They thanked Lt. Col. SIA I. Quim. Denilson Aldair Álvarez López, Head of the Marine Environmental Protection Department (Sixteenth Naval Zone), Lt. Frag. IMP Enrique Robles León, Head of the External Analysis Department of the Naval Port Protection Unit (UNAPROP), and M.C. Constanza Wulschner Montes, head of the department of the state system of conservation areas of the Ministry of the Environment (SECMA); Eng. Fermín Campos Echeverría, federal inspector of natural resources (PROFEPA); Eng. Francisco Javier González Medina, head of the National Commission of Protected Natural Areas; and Lic. Zenaida Cruz Gómez, tourism delegate in Lázaro Cárdenas.
With initiatives like this, the Port of Lázaro Cárdenas reaffirms its commitment to sustainability and environmental preservation. We continue to strengthen an environmental culture in which the port community and society work hand in hand, promoting responsible development that guarantees the well-being of present and future generations.
