October 11, 2025 — The Administration of the Acapulco National Port System (ASIPONA Acapulco) received the cruise ship Carnival Legend this Saturday.
This arrival marks the return of Carnival Cruise Line to the port after 15 years of absence. Its return reflects the recovery and confidence of the international tourism industry in this destination in the Mexican Pacific.
The Carnival Legend is part of the fleet of Carnival Cruise Line, one of the most recognized shipping companies worldwide for its trajectory and tourism offer within the cruise sector.
During their stay in Acapulco, passengers and crew members enjoyed the tourist, cultural and gastronomic attractions of the port. They also participated in welcome activities coordinated by tourism and port authorities.
As part of the inaugural arrival, the traditional exchange of metopes between ASIPONA Acapulco and the Carnival Legend cruise ship took place, in a ceremony led by the Operations Manager, who presented the metope and commemorative coin to Captain Mark James Harlow.
