Lázaro Cárdenas Port celebrates successful first operation of Hyundai Glovis’ Authorized Bonded Warehouse

October 15, 2025 — The first operation was successfully carried out at the Authorized Bonded Warehouse (RFA) operated by Hyundai Glovis, marking a new milestone in the logistics infrastructure of the Lázaro Cárdenas Port.

This facility, identified as CR 318, has a static capacity of 1,938 units and is part of Hyundai Glovis’ strategic project to establish a Vehicle Distribution Center. From this location, the company will carry out storage, customs clearance, and distribution of new vehicles throughout the country.

The initial operation took place on October 14, 2025, with the arrival of the LAPIS ARROW vessel at the Multipurpose Terminal II, operated by LC Logistics, where 549 KIA Sportage vehicles were unloaded. The maneuvers began at 7:30 a.m. according to the established schedule.

As part of the process, a transfer was made between Bonded Ports. The issuing port was ASIPONA on CR 31 and the receiving port was Hyundai Glovis CR 318. Mexmarine provided logistical support for the transfer.

This first operation represents a firm step in strengthening the port as a strategic hub for the automotive sector and consolidates its capacity to handle high-demand projects with international reach.
