October 28, 2025 — The Administration of the Acapulco National Port System (ASIPONA Acapulco) welcomed the majestic cruise ship Norwegian Encore, belonging to the Norwegian Cruise Line, considered one of the most modern and representative ships of its fleet.
The vessel docked at the section 1 dock at 09:00 hours, from the Port of Manzanillo, Colima, with 3,730 passengers and 1,616 crew members on board, adding more than 5,000 visitors who will enjoy the tourist attractions and hospitality that characterizes Acapulco.
During their stay, passengers and crew had the opportunity to enjoy the main tourist, cultural and gastronomic attractions of the port, reaffirming the charm and hospitality that characterize the Guerrero destination.
As part of their arrival, welcome protocol activities were carried out, coordinated by ASIPONA Acapulco, with the participation of representatives of the tourism sector, municipal authorities and service providers, in an atmosphere of cordiality and cooperation.
The arrival of Norwegian Encore represents another step in the reactivation and tourism promotion of the port, the result of joint work between federal, state and local authorities to strengthen Acapulco’s presence within the Mexican Pacific cruise routes.
This event reaffirms the confidence of international shipping companies in the port of Acapulco, consolidating it as a strategic and safe destination for the cruise industry.
