Janet Marie, Pasha Hawaii’s new LNG-powered containership enters service

The annual special issue of Professional Mariner’s American Ship Review 2024 has named the Janet Marie as the 2024 Ship of the Year. As the second of Pasha Hawaii’s LNG-fueled containerships, the Janet Marie is a newbuild designed by Seatrium and built by SeatriumAmFELS. She has a 2,520-TEU capacity with state-of-the-art features, including Kongsberg-supplied key navigation equipment and MAN B&W auxiliary engines that can run on LNG or traditional fuels. The ship runs nearly entirely on LNG fuel during its 96-hour run between Long Beach and Honolulu.
