On behalf of Adolpha Maritime of Nassau and Nautical Consulting, we are pleased to share an upcoming free webinar organized by the International Association of Marine Aids to Navigation and Lighthouse Authorities (IALA).
The one-hour webinar will take place on November 18, 2026 and will focus on the role and responsibilities of Competent Authorities in Vessel Traffic Services (VTS) training, including relevant IMO requirements and IALA standards.
With increasing maritime traffic, including cruise ships, and the growing use of technologies such as Automatic Identification Systems (AIS) and Vessel Traffic Services (VTS), it is becoming increasingly important for ports and maritime authorities to understand the requirements and responsibilities related to maritime traffic monitoring and safety.
We therefore encourage PMAC members, particularly those involved in port operations, maritime safety, vessel traffic management and regulatory oversight, to take advantage of this opportunity to learn more about this important subject.
