In the past two years, Taichung Port has continued to hold tree-planting activities to create a green landscape of the port area such as forest park trails, and has supported the government’s “Salute to the Sea” policy with actions to promote coastal cleanliness and maintenance, ecological conservation and release, and enhance environmental friendliness.

The project covers a number of United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including SDG 6 (clean water), SDG 7 (clean energy), SDG 11 (sustainable city), SDG 13 (climate action), SDG 14 (marine ecology conservation), etc., reflecting Taichung Port’s commitment to promoting a sustainable port area. Looking ahead, Taichung Port will continue to deepen the construction of a smart port area, develop a sustainable environment and low-carbon transportation, and move towards a more competitive and environment-friendly international port.
